Abode Design offers an interior design, decorating and furniture design service. Our aim is to assist with the planning and space requirements of corporate, commercial or domestic spaces, balancing aesthetics and practicality.

Abode was launched in 2003 and is based in Cape Town. Initially the company was started solely as an interior design and decorating concern, but over the years some exciting and unique products have emerged and gained a following, which is a fortunate result for us.
We create products which are fun, quirky and functional, and also offer a service for the custom design of lighting and furniture.

All products are made locally, employing individuals or small businesses for the various stages of manufacture. we can happily say that we are proudly South African.

our portfolio consists of products made in collaboration with the client, as well as a variety of beautiful, locally made pieces using natural cane. These quirky items range from hanging lamp-shades to a 'Cactus Light", Coffee Table, Desk and a Bedside Table with a built-in light. The cane can be painted or stained according to customer requirements and all measurements are easily adjustable.
