LimelightDesign was created as the South African sister branch of Maresch Kristall Leuchten in Austria. The Maresch Family started the company more than 40 years ago and it has now been passed down to its 3rd generation, Patrick Miller.

Our expansion to South Africa was a very logical and natural one as I was intent on blending my traditional Chandelier background with design inspiration in this buzzing country. And that is how the South African Design Studios came about.

For me Crystal is more than a sparkling decoration, it has become a design medium. And by combining it with Woods, Fabrics, Perspex, Glass and Metals it takes further shape. One could say its uses are endless.

The Studios in Cape Town, Johannesburg and George are a testament to that philosophy, as we stock the traditional, the modern, the kitsch and the classic.

We create Chandeliers, Wall Units, Crystal Art, Crystal Jewellery and Custom Crystal Creations - and all Lead Crystal. We are specifically proud of our ability to customize. Sitting down pen to paper at the ready, we have managed to sketch the perfect pieces to suit space and taste.

All of our pieces are designed and manufactured locally in the Garden Route, By the 2nd generation Christa Miller - staying true to our family business.
